Website Visitors

We use Framer's analytics to track page views and visitor interactions. This data is anonymised and cannot identify you.

Subscription Clients

When you sign up for Quelea, we collect:

• Your contact details (name, email, phone, business name, address)

• Your billing information

• Your content (menus, pricing, directories, etc.) that you share via Google Sheets

• Your email communications with us about syncs and updates

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide the Quelea service (syncing your content, publishing updates, creating print-ready files)

• Manage your subscription and billing

• Respond to your support requests

• Send important service updates

• Improve our website and service

• Comply with legal obligations

We do not share your data with other clients or use it for marketing purposes.

Legal Basis for Processing

Under GDPR, we process your data based on:

• Contract — to provide the Quelea service, manage billing, and respond to your requests

• Legal obligation — to comply with tax and accounting requirements

• Legitimate interest — to improve our website and service for all users

5. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your information is stored in two places:

Google Sheets — Your content is kept in a private Google folder that only you and Quelea can access.

Framer — Your content is synced to Framer's website hosting platform to create your live microsite and print-ready files.

Both Google and Framer are GDPR-compliant and use strong security measures (encryption, backups, access controls).

Lawful Disclosure

We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax authorities, law enforcement). We will notify you of such disclosure unless legally prohibited from doing so.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

While you're a customer: We keep your data for as long as your subscription is active.

After you cancel:

• Your content (Google Sheets) will be deleted at the end of your final billing month

• Your Framer website will be unpublished and access removed

• Billing records are kept for 7 years for tax and legal compliance

Backup copies:

• Google and Framer maintain backup copies of data for system recovery and security purposes

• These backups may be retained slightly longer than active data to ensure system integrity

• Backups are securely encrypted and isolated from regular systems

• Backups will eventually be deleted in accordance with Google and Framer's standard deletion policies (typically within 30-90 days)

If you need your data deleted sooner after cancellation, email info@quelea.ie and we'll request early deletion from our providers.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your data

• Correct inaccurate information

• Delete your data

• Restrict how we use it

• Receive your data in a portable format

• Object to certain processing

• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie)

To exercise any of these rights, email info@quelea.ie with "GDPR Request" in the subject line. We'll respond within 30 days.

8. How We Contact You

We contact you by email to:

• Manage your subscription and billing

• Confirm sync requests and updates

• Send important service notices

• Provide support

You can opt out of non-essential emails by replying with "unsubscribe," but we'll still send critical account and billing information.

9. Optional: Direct CMS Access

Some clients choose to manage their Framer site directly themselves (usually for an extra monthly fee). If you do:

• You'll get login access to your Framer CMS

• You can update content without asking us to sync

• Your account is still owned by us, but you have editor access

• All data protection rules in this policy still apply

10. Security

We protect your data using:

• Encrypted storage and transmission (SSL/TLS)

• Two-factor authentication on our accounts

• GDPR-compliant service providers (Google, Framer)

• Limited staff access to your data

No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.

11. Third-Party Services

Your data is processed by:

• Google Workspace — document storage and email

• Framer — website hosting

• Amazon Web Services — cloud infrastructure (used by Framer)

All are contractually bound to protect your data under GDPR.

12. International Transfers

Your data may be stored in the US (where Google and Framer operate). Both companies comply with GDPR and use approved safeguards for international data transfers.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post changes here with an updated date. For significant changes, we'll email you at least 30 days in advance.
